The Armstrong Hotel was built in 1902 in Hondo Texas by Andrew Armstrong Jr. initially for the railroad workers and patrons. It is located on Highway 90 in the center of Hondo. Kalinoski and his wife performed extensive renovations over the years to improve the condition and appearance of the hotel until they sold it in 1992.
