This is a residential acreage right in town with rolling land, pinion and cedar trees, and structures that were once homes, sheds and garden beds. The land opens in the back to mountain and farm views with interesting hiking spots and vantage points. There is a small wetlands area on the corner near the intersection is fed from water run-off. There is a small rocky bank lerading down to the cat tails, and old rose bushes, lilacs, fruit trees that are still living around the three old houses and pens. There are small meadows and grassy areas, and clear mountain views to the west. Road P heading west leads to nearby Hovenweep National Monuments where there are extensive Pueblo native ruins, pottery shards and rock art. Near Canyons of the Ancients and the Old Spanish trail. the area is full of history. Going east from Cahone you will find the Dolores River recreation area elk, deer and other wildlife is abundant. Farming is the main industry with lush fields surrounding the area.
